I did. The few times I've practical to Macys they always send me an email scheduling an interview to come across someone in 60 minutes.

Perchance y'all should requite them a "rest" for now.

I did pass the cess test. I but have a history of task hopping due to college, relocation and family emergencies. That and I have a caste in lol interim.

I practical to every position at Macy'southward my qualifications matched in a 2 hr radius from me. This resulted in 25+ applications.

I'd become the typical submission response, but ever got rejected with an email 1-ii weeks after saying "we decided to pursue other candidates at this time."

Now every position posting I apply for with Macy's or Bloomingdales automatically receives an electronic mail ane-2 days after maxim "Unfortunately, nosotros are unable to consider your application further for this opportunity."

Could I have been temporarily blacklisted due to too many applications and too many rejections? Thoughts?

I am sorry, but they are non interested in yous. Practice non use to Macy's or Bloomingdales whatsoever longer. Pursue other options.

I'm running out of options though. Any style to modify their minds?

Should I lie and tell them I accept no employment history on the application, maybe?

Honestly, I would wait atleast two-three months before applying again. I remember my very first interview, I did not go a callback until five months after I put my initial application in. Besides I now look at a instant callback as a red-flag now anyways.

Hopefully I'll be employed by and then.

Is Macy'southward the only identify in your town to work? Forget it and move on, making an issue out of it with their HR isn't going to help matters.

Sounds like they may have a filter upward to discourage automated applications, although I am not certain why anybody would exercise such a matter. You could experiment by clearing your cookies, disconnecting your modem until your ISP provides yous with a different IP address, use a unlike email address/account and and then see what happens.

I would not bother though. They accept clearly signaled their lack of interest in yous.

My girlfriend and I call up nosotros should register a bunch of email addresses and test the theory of poor filtering systems, lol.

Unfortunately, Macy's is a major source of entry level employment in my area. Outaide of retail and fast food the only other source of piece of work is panhandling or goin door to door to sell kitchen knives you pay for.

We're working on selling out things and looking to relocate once more if we can afford it. This are is worse than where I moved abroad from. Information technology was a case of "grass is greener."

If there is a Macy's there is a mall with other stores. Apply at each and every one of them. Every boondocks has a grocery store, a drugstore and a few gas stations. Apply there. How about banks? I believe that a Liberal arts caste would qualify you as an entry level teller. Have you lot checked with UPS or FedEx equally an overnight truck loader? How well-nigh the local constabulary dept as a 911 operator? Does the nearest hospital need custodians? How about the school systems?

Accept y'all considered starting a lawn mowing survive, even if y'all accept to put a 2nd hand mower in the back of a friends hatchback. Road crew? Window washer downtown?

There must exist some manufacture in town. Fishing? Farming? Tourism? Mining? The place you live has to exist for some reason.

Macy'south cannot be the only employer. After all, they cannot sell eir stuff exclusively to their ain employees.
